Hand operated Injection moulder for polymers

Injection moulder

Injection mouldingĀ is a process for producing a wide variety of parts by injecting molten material into a mould. Injection moulding can be performed with a host of polymer materials. Material is fed into a heated barrel,Ā  and injected (Forced) into a mould cavity, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the cavity. Moulds are made by a mould-maker (or toolmaker) from metal, usually either steel or aluminium, and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part. Crutchfield Engineering can also supply polymer-resin self-making mould kits to help make moulds more affordable and and flexible for the DIY enthusiasts. This special polyemer resin is easy to use and can be used to mould anything you want to copy.

The Temperatures are controlled with a controller at which the user can select the type of plastic he/she is using to get the correct temperatures for the process of injecting the plastic into a mould. Ā These temperatures can also be manually adjusted if needed. Ā The process of injecting is done by hand through a mechanical advantage system that gives adequate pressure to fill various moulds.
Specs:
  • Inclusive of band-heaters for precise temperature. Ā 3x 100 watt heaters
  • inclusive with an automatic temperature controller for different plastic profile selections.
  • Shot size 60cc per batch (approximate)
  • Hand driven plunger.
  • Adjustable bottom plate for various mould heights.
  • Stand is optional as this is a table fitted machine (R1000)
